Another day of flying to a historic event. I am so thrilled to be going to DC to witness the start of a new era, hopefully one of peace, concern for the many, not just the few, and respect for the environment. We just took off from Vegas, on this sunny, beautiful Saturday. We are passing over the Grand Canyon - what an incredible sight! I'm really looking forward to seeing Stacey, a long-time friend from my Cornell grad-school days. Her family is having a reunion for the inauguration and on Sun evening have set aside time to gather to hear recollections from Stacey's parents about the JFK years and the similarities to his inauguration to the current historical moment. I am blessed that theyare letting me join them.
